This eye catching large scaled sculptural designed entitled the Wendy has won this year’s MoMA/P.S.1 Young Architects Program competition. Designed by HWKN architects and set to be constructed, installed and opened by the end of June, this extruding figure, made of nylon fabric that has been tightly stretched across a grid of scaffolding, will hopefully have as much of an effect on the environment as it does on one’s line of sight. Located inside the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Centre courtyard in New York, the bold blue fabric outfitting the structure will first be treated with a spray designed to help neutralize air pollutants that are often so found so readily  in high populated areas. As an interactive piece, visitors will be allowed to climb the modern and edgy design while the outside perimeter will be kept wet thanks to a water cannon hidden on the inside of one of its arm. How cool is this design?! It will surely be a must see attraction once it’s all up and running.
