The designers at Nendo pushed the limits of creativity with their ILLOIHA fitness facility design. Hoping to inspire newcomers, they developed a glamorized climbing wall to replace the conventional form of rock climbing. Well they won me over, I’m officially inspired.
Below is Nendo‘s 2008 Cabbage Chair design. Fabricated from a roll of pleated paper, its form is slowly revealed as the layers are peeled away. I’m not sure what’s cooler, the chair or the technique used for its construction.
