Berlin- based architecture firm, J. Mayer H. never ceases to amaze with their stunning structures and furniture. This particular work of wonder lies between the coastal border of Turkey and Georgia, at the Sarpi Border checkpoint, welcoming passer-bys with a unique visual. Functioning as a customs center, the building also houses a cafeteria and conference rooms. The high terraces provide a viewing platform with multiple levels overlooking the water and coastline. Wavy in structure, the building imitates the waves of the Black Sea by which it resides. You might remember some of J. Mayer H.‘s other projects including Seville’s Metropol Parasol, and the temperature-sensitive seat.
