When it comes to design, it’s not always all about functionality and form, rather, it can simply be about creating those magical moments that will stick with you visually for a lifetime. Located in the UK, take a look at the works of Heatherwick Studio. Commissioned by the National Malus Collection to create a permanent pavilion on their grounds, this structured cube captivates you with its creative display of light and outer facade. Being 2.4 meters square and housing over 5,000 punctured hollow squares, when standing inside, your allowed to catch a small glimpse of the outside world through the hollow aluminum staves that act as windows. When the sun sets, the cube comes to life, as a light-source, located at its center, projects bold contrasting light into the night.
