Have a look! Armed with paper, scissor and glue, Colombian based artist Diana Beltran Herrera has constructed an impressive collection of animals overflowing with whimsy and charm. With a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, it seems as though the talented artist has become quite fond with the art of illustration, creating an exquisite collection of animals that are all meticulously crafted with an added underling hint of playfulness.

With the newest rave of Instagram on iPhones and (now) Android phones, every event in one’s life can be captured, filtered (to give the picture a vintage flare), and shared for the world to see. The trend is rapidly growing and doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon! Piggy backing on this brilliant concept, Italian marketing consultant, Antonio De Rosa came up with the Instagram Socialmatic Camera concept. Imagine being able to capture a moment wherever you go, slap a cool filter on the picture, and while you can still share the photo with numerous social networking sites, you can also print out the photo automatically right there wherever you are. Groundbreaking!

Presently, Antonio is raising funds with the help of fund raising site, idiegogo to help this awesome concept come to fruition. If you’re as amazed with the Instagram Socialmatic concept as we are, you can help make a donation HERE towards getting the camera made. Check out more concept photos below. And good luck, Antonio!

Today we’re introducing a clever and highly versatile seating arrangement designed by SWAY. Upon first glance, the piece may read as simplistic and rather ordinary in form, but after a deeper review, one will easily assess that this is not your standard rocking chair. Made with a padded seat and constructed around a steel frame, the furnishing allows you the option of rocking as a pair or simply laying alone. With so many different seating arrangements to choose one, we guarantee you won’t be sitting in any one position too long.

Korean artist Seung Mo Park is nothing short of an extraordinary artist. His uncanny sense of depth perception allows him to create these flawless portraits cut from layers of mesh wire. Park’s latest large scale portrait collection, titled , is made up of layers of mesh wire placed centimeters apart and each wire tediously cut with precision to make up an entire shadowed piece of work. I can’t even fathom the amount of time, patience, and skill it takes to create this amazing sculptural art !

I love when art is displayed in a manner that leaves it free to individual interpretation, without reading the list of materials from which these portraits were made, they could easily be read as something so much more than simply the viewing of water and colored ink. Check out this stunning collection, quite brilliantly captured by Italian photographer Alberto Seveso, that showcases an array of underwater landscapes exploding at the brim with rich color, bold graphics and exquisite detailing. The sharp contrast in pigment as the varying hues start to mix together brings with it an unexpected visual that has a way of drawing you in.

So, while I was walking through the airport with my bright red American Flyer suitcase that I found at a vintage shop in Houston for $15, I got the craziest stares. I convinced myself that everyone was just jealous! :) But honestly,  vintage luggage is definitely coming back into style. Whether people are using it for its primary purpose of carrying luggage, or putting it to even better use as furniture, throwback suitcases are haute! Check out these fabulous furniture pieces that Emmanuelle Legavre Design created from classic suitcases. The collection is called Les Valises (“the luggage” in French) and can add a chic touch to any classic contemporary space while providing lots of storage space!

Who would have guessed something so original could be created from a simple assortment of cardboard boxes? Amsterdam studio Sander Architecten has once again pushed the boundaries of design and creativity with their newest project for the Rabobank located in the Netherlands. Inside the five-story building, the team decided to redefine the space creating small meeting areas created and framed by cardboard boxes. The visual texture and detailing created by the material makes it a stunning visual complete with cutouts that allow insight into the surrounding spaces. It’s a brilliant idea and I find it altogether to be quite visual inspiring.

Everybody has seen vibrant graffiti art lining the streets of their city, but have you ever wondered what happens when the paint dries and the final touches are complete? Graffiti artist CanLove has found the best next step- recycle the cans and make flower sculptures! Through the artist’s recycling program, discarded aerosol cans are transformed into beautifully original flower inspired vases. CanLove’s recycling program guarantees that more trash isn’t created, but instead a never ending cycle of graffiti art is born.

Check out the works of New York artist Michael Mapes. By painstakingly pinning down hundreds of small circular cut outs and then tediously placing them in manner that somewhat reflects the art of pointillism, each simple image beckons you to take a closer look as you start to understand how skillfully assembled the composition truly is. As you step back, the individual circles, attached using insect pins, start to disappear leaving behind quite a compelling portrait.
